Cleaning schedule maker

Tick the rooms you have, how many people live with you and how you like to clean. You get a weekly schedule, a monthly schedule and a seasonal list straight away, with a rough time for each day. Save it as a PDF or print it. Nothing is saved or sent anywhere.

1. Which rooms do you have?

2. How many people live with you?
3. How do you like to clean?

Which days? Change them as you like.

Nothing is saved or sent: your schedule is made in your own browser.

How the maker works it out

  • Every task has a base rhythm for two people. Living alone, the busiest tasks come round less often; with more people, more often.
  • Weekly tasks are grouped by room and spread over your cleaning days, so each day takes about the same time.
  • Fortnightly and monthly tasks go into a monthly schedule, spread over four weeks.
  • For seasonal and yearly jobs you get a suggested month, such as the gutters after the leaves fall.

Tips to keep it going

  • Hang the schedule where you see it, or better: put it in your calendar.
  • Start with two rooms and add one each week.
  • A fifteen-minute timer helps you start and helps you stop.
  • Skipped a task three times? Make it less frequent.

How SortYourMind does it

Let SortYourMind plan this around your calendar

A printed schedule does not know you are home late on Tuesday. SortYourMind does: it reads when you are busy and puts your chores in your free time, room by room.

  • Every room a theme, every routine on its rhythm
  • Blocks in your free time, priority 1 first
  • When your day changes, what no longer fits moves on to a later moment

Questions

Is my schedule stored anywhere?

No. The schedule is made in your browser and disappears when you close the page. Save it as a PDF or print it if you want to keep it.

How do I save it as a PDF?

Click "Save as PDF or print" and in the print window choose "Save as PDF" or "Microsoft Print to PDF" as the printer.
